Question about packing trading pins

I have never flown before and am not sure whether to (with all the restrictions) place the trading pins we bought in checked luggage or in a carry-on

Ok forgive me if this sounds stupid .... but are the pins allowed by TSA to go in a carry-on or would they be considered a weapon ???

I am afraid they will get stolen, or damaged in checked luggage

Not a bad ??? at all Dw was told a few years ago that too many toothpicks were not allowed.

As for the pins Carry-on is fine we just returned and nothing was said. I would not trust them in Checked luggage.

we do them as carry on too, no problem
