Question about ordering Kids Meals???

Please give an advise on this issue. We have the disney dining meal plan for our family of 4. My son, who is 11, would rather have the children's meals instead of ordering off of the adult menu. Will they allow us to order him a kids meal and just pay for it. Would this allow his credits to be used by the rest of the family? Just wondering. He is a pizza and chicken nuggets kid unfortunately.

yes, you can do this at most restaurants. There are indications that the Plaza and Tutto Italia may not allow "adults" to order from the child's menu.

I was wondering the same thing. We have twin 12 year old girls and I know one would like to have chicken tenders and hotdogs for most of the trip.
DO you know if Fulton's allows 12 year old's to order from kids menu for dinner?
What about Sci-Fi? Coral Reef? LeCellier?

If you have him on the dining plan as an adult you can still order him chicken nuggets and pizza in the adult portion. The kids portions of those meals are tiny. Almost anything you can get for a kid, except PBJ, you can get in an adult meal. I wouldn't make him eat those tiny little meals where he only gets to pick grapes for dessert while everyone else gets real desserts and large portions. If you paid for him as an adult or even if you got it free there is no reason not to let him use his adult credits to eat.

As a matter of fact, the most common CS meals I saw in almost ALL places were adult portion Chicken Nuggets and Pizza. The kids pizza is way too little for an 11 yr old. The adult nuggets you just get 8 nuggets instead of 3 or 4.

We just got back last night and we had 5 adults and 1 child (all on the free dining plan). My 10 year old ordered from the kids menu almost every time, however, they DID let her order the adult dessert, if she liked it better.

We had NO problems doing it either.
