Question about OBB

Currently booked on the Wonder in February and also looking at doing the Panama Canal next October. If I book the Panama cruise now, can I change it over to an OBB to take advantage of the discounts and OBC when I am on the Wonder in February or would I have to cancel and re-book at prevailing rates?

An OBB is based on prevailing rates, so yes it would be a situation of cancel and re-book to take advantage of an OBB. If the fare increases enough between now and February, the discount and OBC could be negated. So I would book the October cruise now and then re-shop it in February to see if there is savings to be had.

I'm booked on the Oct Panama Canal and still check prices hoping that 11B specific cabins come back, and noticed that prices just went up a small amount in the last few days. I absolutely agree with booking now and re-shopping later!

I did a Westbound PC cruise in May 2015 and loved it so much I am doing it again next April. There is so much to do, including lots of special events that are only on the longer itineraries.

UPDATE: Was going to book the Inside Gty but with all the cancellations / changes due to Hurricane Matthew, I figured DCL would be super busy so decided to wait to call in. Just checked and that category is no longer available, which is fine, but the cheapest fare is now $864 more for 2 people! Looks like all the re-bookings have driven the price of DCL even higher!
