last year I gave dh a ps3, which he loved especially that it has a blu ray player built in. but we have NEVER used it. well, we used it for a couple of games, but never hooked it up for blue ray.

so question for those who have one or who may know...if we can figure out how to hook it up for the blue ray discs, will it also play regular dvds?

anyone???

It's already set for blu-ray, there's nothing to hook up if you've already got it set up and are playing games on it. Simply put in whatever Blu-ray disc you want to watch and you're set up! It also works for regular DVDs, too.

We have the the remote for the PS3, so I'm not sure what buttons are what on the controller - you might need to check the manual for that.

You should be in good shape for DVDs. I believe the limitation of the PS3 is that it is not backwards compatible with PS2 games. Blu-ray rocks if you have an HDTV.:)
