Question about MVMCP tickets and Magic Bands

Hi everyone,

If I buy MVMCP tickets, do I HAVE to link them to my Magic Bands, which will also have my park hopper tickets on them? I'm just nervous something will go wrong and one of my 2 park hopper days will get used up instead of the MVMCP ticket (we're only going for a quick 3 days, the first day we will be doing MVMCP and then I'm getting a 2 day park hopper). Can I just buy the tickets and print them at home and that's it? Or have them mailed to me and not connect them to my MB?

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

When I bought my tickets they automatically showed up on my MDE. I didn't link them.... But I was signed in when I bought them online..... So I am not sure.

You do not have to link them. I bought mine over the phone and did not link it. You will not be able to make FP ahead of time for the (3:30 - 6:30 time period) if they are not linked though. If you do link them you can have guest services prioritize the party ticket before you enter.

Our tickets are linked as well but I was hoping we could just use the paper tickets I printed out and not scan our MBs at all. Can anyone tell me if this will work?
Thanks!

Are you referring to entering the park at 4pm and not wanting it to count against one of your days? More than likely, if its all on your MDE, it is likely its already on your MB as well. To be safe, you can stop by the window first and they can split the party ticket off the MB if you want, and move it to a separate ticket for you. Its fast and it will be fine (as always, it MUST be an unused ticket, of course). Otherwise, if you plan to be in the park all day, it won't matter either way. You just get your wrist band in the park.

I don't think this is the case. As far as I know, no paper tickets are accepted. You will need to take your print out to the window, get your party tickets issued off of the will-call reservation, and then you don't have to use MBs if you want or don't.

Any reason other than not wanting to confuse days entering the park, as to why you wouldn't want it on your MB? You will still need it on a card, which can be done very quickly at the window.

At least, this is as far as I can tell. What does your paper ticket actually look like? Does it say to take it to the window? Does it have a bar code scanner?

Wait, you can make FP's with party tickets? I thought you couldn't! Or is that just if you have a regular ticket you will be using that day as well?

Right, I want to get in at 4 with just my MVMCP ticket. I know I had my MNSSHP tickets linked last year, but we also had an AP last year so it didn't matter. I was hoping not to have to stop at a ticket window and waste time, that's why I kind of wanted to have it separate. If you go in MK at 4, how does the MB scanner know to use the MVMCP ticket or one of your regular park hopper tickets if it's all linked? That's what makes me nervous, I'm afraid we'll lose a day!

The ticket reads "Disney eTicket. This is your ticket. This page is required for Theme Park entrance." The instructions state to print the off, present at entrance turnstile (not required to wait in will call or ticket purchase queues) and will be granted admission after ticket is scanned and voided. Guess I should have read the ticket before oosting

Wow, didn't think about this. We also wouldn't want this to happen. What if you don't have a MB and you order party tickets to be sent, do the party tickets come with their own MBs then or do you get them there? If they're sent with the tickets, would they also have your other ticket info on them? And can you just use those tickets to enter at 4 and then just have the MB on later?
