Ok so we are planning on taking a trip to southern cal from may 2 thru may 11. We are getting the city pass from sea world so we will have two days there. So far I am thinking may 3 and may 4 at sea world, may 5 at the zoo, may 6 traveling back up to oc and the beach. i originally planned on disney from may 7-9 and universal on may 10 but now i am leaning towards may 7 at disney, may 8 at universal, may 9 and 10 at disney so two of the days at disney wont be weekend days. anyone have any thoughts on this?

It depends on what experience you want. If this is Mother's Day weekend, and you are travelling with a mom, all of the places you mentioned have special things set up for her. I enjoyed my Mother's Day in DLR! I didn't mind that it was a bit crowded. I know that people love the MD brunch at SeaWorld too.

If it is just in terms of crowds, then yes, the weekend days at Disney are the busier days. That being said, at least go on a Friday, because there are some shows that don't happen M-Th, at least during some of the slower times of year, and the weekend hours are often extended.:goodvibes

It will probably be busy Mother's Day weekend but we are going anyway. Our passes are going to expire the following week so it is our last chance to use them. Of course we are going to be there during Easter Break and will stop for a day on April 30th on our way down south. Might as well use them as much as we can......

she is very laid back and doesnt have any preferences. our biggest thing is not spending all day in lines. we have a 3 year old and want him to experience as much as possible. ive thought about taking them to the goofy breakfast on mothers day for a little something special that day

We went last Mother's Day to Disneyland and I wouldn't say it was more crowded than any other weekend day. They also gave out free flower corsages to all the moms.

I wanted to have my Mother's day "brunch" at Carnation Cafe so we had ressies for that morning too.
