Question about MNSSHP

I'm sure it's here somewhere but please pardon my lack of effective search techniques in advance. Is the hard ticket price in addition to normal park admittance or in lieu of normal park admittance? We are arriving mid-day on 9/15 after a pretty lengthy trip ala Planes,Trains, and Automobiles and don't necessarily want to burn a whole day's ticket and some then some more for maybe 4 hours of park time. No, it's a separate event, so no other park admission is necessary. Technically it goes from 7P-midnight, but in the past guests with party tickets have been allowed in the gate as early as 4PM to get their wristbands. We're looking forward to attending it again this year in early October.

This is such a fun event! The MK is decorated for fall, with a little spookiness thrown in (think low lighting with silhouettes on the buildings of Main Street). Spooky music plays, there are trick or treat stations set up (bags are provided for everyone ), the characters do meet & greets in COSTUME! The parade alone, to me , is worth the admission cost. The Headless Horseman starts off the parade (real, not animatronic). We'll be there on October 5th, looking forward to it!
