sorry if this has been asked, but I could not find my answer...

we have tickets to the Sept. 15 MNSSHP, but I keep seeing posts about free dining, too. What is this about? Is there something I'm missing?

Also, can anyone shed light on the Crystal Palace at MK (is it good food? what are buffet prices? is it a good lunch choice or would dinner be better, etc.)

thanks for your insight!

Free dining is a Disney promotion for people who purchase a vacation package for a specific set of dates. The promotion allows people to add the dining plan to their package for free. I'm not sure if the deadline for the free dining promo has passed, so you should get some additional information from your travel agent or other DIS posters.

I have had breakfast and dinner at Crystal Palace and enjoyed both. The dining room resembles a Victorian glass enclosed greehouse (it's actually based upon the Crystal Palace from the Great Exhibition of 1851) and is quite pretty. The characters from Winnie the Pooh walk around and visit the guests. The food is fine, but nothing great. It's buffet style. I plan to have lunch at Crystal Palace during my first day at WDW.

I know that this is a strange thing for a grown man to say, but when I was last at Crystal Palace I actually felt guilty eating pork in the vicinity of Piglet. Anyone else feel that way?

That helps. Are any of the restaurants at MGM better than at MK? We are going to both parks that same day before our DCL cruise.
