Right, I’ve seen that too. I believe it’s to get the ride moving quickly & help cut down the initial rope drop lines.

The one time I rode it (July 2021), we had maybe a 10-minute wait from when they started moving the queue to when we got to the pre-show, and it was running. But maybe the folks a few hundred feed ahead of us skipped it? Or maybe it's just not totally consistent.

Which is a shame, because the pre-show is a hoot. We went opening day, and I still can't get that song out of my head!
