1. The way I understand it is that the nightly points are guaranteed not to change over the next 50 years. Is this correct? If this is correct, why do they put the 2008-2009 point calendar for each villa in the dream book? Wouldn't there just be one calendar for the next 50 years for each resort?
Is it just to change the dates a little or something more?

2. Also, if you borrow points from next year, can you borrow any number of points or do you have to borrow all of them?

3. How many years can you bank points?

1. the number opf total points over a year is garaunteed to stay the same. There may be some slight adjustments per night in some seasons wither up or down but the total points will still be the same over the course of a year.

2. you can borrow any number of points.

3. you may bank only 1 years points & they must be used during the next year.
I'm pretty sure this is correct info.

The calendars change year to year as the Disney 'seasons' vary slightly due to Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years all falling on different days of the week each year.

There is no guarantee that the point can't change. They can reallocate them. The TOTAL number of points for the entire resort cannot change. They could raise points in one category for example, but they would then have to lower them somewhere else, so that the overall totals don't change.

That said, they have only reallocated points one time, for the OKW resort in 1996. Most likely there won't be any more reallocations unless members really start changing their vacation patterns.

You can ONLY borrow points to make a reservation. It's not like banking where you say you want to bank x number of points. Say you want to make a reservation that takes 85 points, and you only have 55 current points. They you would borrow 30 points to complete your vacation. You cannot borrow more, or less.

Points can only be banked one time, going from one year to the next. You could bank your 2008 points into your 2009 use year, for example, but you cannot bank those SAME points again, into 2010. Of course, you can bank your REGULAR 2009 points into 2010, and so on, each year.

Once points are either banked or borrowed, they cannot be undone. Banking and borrowing are final transactions and if the points are not used they would be forfeited.

Hope this helps

What happens if you borrow points from next year for a reservation and then you have to cancel the reservation for some reason. Do you still keep those points in your account or do you just lose them? I am assuming you lose them by your UY end no matter what?

Thanks. K

Borrowed points will remain in the use year into which they were borrowed, and must be used by the end of that use year or lost. Banking and borrowing are final transactions.
