We are going to purchase the dining plan for out upcoming trip. I have a 15 year old and I understand that I have to pay for the adult dining plan and have no problem with this but he won't eat the food on the adult plan. He lives on Chicken nuggets and Mac & Cheese. I am wondering if I explain that he has issues with certain foods if he can just get a larger portions of the kids meals. Michelle

Do you mean the following?

We are not going to purchase the dining plan for our upcoming trip since I have a 15 year old and will not get any value since he lives on Chicken nuggets and Mac & Cheese. So we will go OOP and save a chunk of money and have so much more flexibility. Michelle.

LOL, Guess that is the way to go. Michelle

bdklein may be right. I think most Disney restaurants would do an adult portion of a kids' entrée, but there are no guarantees, so you could end up over spending.

Have you checked the menus to see if there are places where he will eat the adult food? You can always ask for any special sauces to be left off or put on the side.

If you can plan on doing mostly dinner buffets, you'd still at least break even or save a few dollars with the plan, and he can eat whatever he wants and as much as he wants. With a 15 yr old, I'd think quantity matters.
