Question about MCO

Hi,
A friend and I are meeting up at MCO on Sunday. She's arriving on the B side, I'm on the A.
Where is the most convenient place for us to meet?
We'll be renting from National, using Emerald Aisle.

Who arrives first? Which airlines? There are 2 gate areas of both A and B (total of 4), so which airline matters. Are both of you checking luggage?

We're not checking luggage...just a 3 day trip
she arrives on USAir about 20 minutes before my SWA flight arrives.

You can move unimpeded from side A to side B once you're in the main terminal, you just can't go to the actual gates. US Airways typically uses B Airside 3 gates 30 - 59 and Southwest uses A Airside 2 gates 100 -129. After taking the tram to the main terminal area the two entry areas are diagonally across the building from one another. There's a food court roughly in the center of the building where you could meet or your friend could make her way over to the Hyatt that is near where you'll enter the terminal. There's lots of seating around there.
The rental car operators have desks on both the A and B sides so you can go down (two floors) to Ground Transportation on either side.

Oh, and you can look at the terminal layout at http://www.orlandoairports.net/goaa/main.htm. Click on the Terminal Maps icon and then click right on the top image under the heading Terminal Diagram. That will give you a larger image to show where things are generally located in the main terminal.

I would tell your friend to walk over to the end with the Hyatt and wait near the big fountain, there are benches around it. By the time she gets there, you should be arriving on that end. There's also a Disney Store there (Earport I think).
