Question about Maryland....

I need to attend a wedding in Maryland early May. And I've no idea about the area.

The wedding is in Hyattsville. From my friend's map, it's on 401 E W Hwy, by Baltimore Ave. The reception is in Laurel MD. I kinda want to stay in Sheraton College Park, address is 4095 Powder Mill Road Beltsville, MD. From mapquest, College Park seems reasonable drive (20 min) to the reception area. True?

And which airport should I fly into? BWI? Or Dulles? How long will it take to get to the hotel on a Sat morning from the airport?

One more question... (sorry)... how far is it from College Park to chesapeake bay, on Sunday? Thinking about squeezing it in, but not sure if it's the right season.

I used to live in Laurel.

Powder Mill Road is very close to Laurel. If you're staying where I remember the Sheraton, it is right off of I95. From the hotel to the ceremony, depending on traffic, should be about 20 minutes. You'll be passing through University of Maryland!

Closest airport is BWI, by a long shot. I now work 5 minutes from Dulles and frequently go from the dentist in downtown Baltimore (20 minutes from BWI) to work, and that's an hour and a half drive with no traffic.

Chesapeake Bay/Annapolis is about 45 minutes from the hotel you'll be staying in. I'd suggest going up to Inner Harbor, since it's only a half hour from your hotel, and then 20 minutes from there to the airport.
