Question About Lightning Lane Single Pass

My family is coming in July, and I think my six-year-old daughter will be brave enough to ride everything she is tall enough for, but I was wondering what would happen if we get to one of our single-pass LL (ex. Cosmic Rewind or Flight of Passage), and she decides not to ride? I've already asked on here about multi-pass LL and was told we can easily just transfer that reservation to something tamer but wasn't sure how that works for single pass?

Officailly, there are no refunds - however in practice that may not always be the case. There are no guarantees, but I would recommend checking with a Guest Relations cast member under one of the blue umbrella stations. They may be able to help. I had a case where my mom had gotten a bit motion sick and was not up for the scheduled ride. They refunded the passes for her and my stepdad. Just ask nicely and be understanding - they may or may not be able to do it.

Yes. I'd like to add that if you're not going to use the LLSP, you should go to a CM at a blue umbrella or to the Guest Services area to request the refund as soon as possible and definitely on the same day as the scheduled LLSP. It's not something you can address the day after, for example.

BTW, I have never had a problem getting a refund for an unused LLSP or an unused LLMP even though it's not WDW's official policy.

Yes, definitely do so immediately and don't wait until the next day. I do believe that most Cast Members will be very happy to work with you on it, though just know that it's not guaranteed.

Others have mentioned the refund possibility. I'll answer the original question. An LLSP can be modified to another LLSP, even one in a different park or on a different day. If the LLSP you're changing to costs more, you have to pay the extra; if it costs less, you don't get a refund. The LLSP attraction has to be one you could have booked in the first place but didn't. You can't use modification to get around the "only one LLSP per attraction per day" rule. But if you thought she could ride Tron and realized she couldn't, you can switch it to SDMT, if available and if you hadn't already bought her a SDMT LLSP for that day. Is it easy to do? No, because LLSPs tend to sell out before day-of. But it is allowed.
