When there are 2 spectro showings, is there usually a mad rush leaving MK after Wishes? Do alot of people stick around for the 2nd Spectro? I am staying at the AKL and was wondering if the buses will be crowded and will I have to wait long for a bus if we leave after Wishes.

Thanks :Pinkbounc

I am sure quite a few people leave after Wishes. You will probably still have to wait for a bus.

We have watched Wishes a few times and have found that standing right at the very very far end of Main St. (away from the castle and very close to the exit) is a great place to view. It is somewhat crowded but we have been able to stake out space 10 minutes or so prior to the show and can see with no problems. The view of the castle and fireworks is really spectacular. The beauty is then we are some of the first to leave and we have been outta there very very quickly before the crowds get real thick. If you are planning to leave right after Wishes, consider that as opposed to then making your way down Main St, etc. You will then really fight the crowds.

Why don't you just let the crowds mass thier way out and sit and enjoy the "kiss" goodnight. By then the crowds are gone and you can walk down Main street and really enjoy the shops. We love to do this and never even knew about it untill the DIS board.

We did this last trip and it was great! After Wishes we went to Caseys and got some hot dogs and cheese fries and just sort of hung out for a while. That may become a tradition for us :)

We were in the MK one night a couple weeks ago when there were 2 Spectromagics. The park really empties out as soon as Wishes is over. We also left, but we took our time getting out of the park. We did some shopping (the stores were busy but not as bad as you might expect) and were able to walk onto the bus just before it pulled away, back to the WL. We did have to stand on the bus, but we didn't have to wait forever to get one, and it was a short ride back.

We did this in April and it backfired on us!! It was fun to enjoy the shops and all, but the wait for the ferry was well over an hour. The monorail lines were even longer. Not sure what we did wrong...

Last June, we stayed for the 2nd Spectro and still had to wait over 20 minutes for a bus back to Pop. From the looks of it, we thought most people had left after Wishes, so we were surprised when we got to the bus stop and had to wait for the 3rd bus to come and we still had to stand!

My experience has been that typically after wishes the park empties out a good bit. Not everyone leaves but enough leave to really ease congestion afterwards. The later the park is open the more spread out the people leaving is and allows easier exiting.
