What food items can you still get? Did they remove the food because they just want people to have a drink and leave? since it does get crowded. Thanks for the reply.

When I last visited in November of 2010, these were the food items on the menu:

• Chicken Tostadas
• Crab Tostadas
• Shrimp Tostadas
• Guacamole
• Shrimp Cocktail
• Flautas
• Ate con Queso (dessert)

The new report is that the tostadas have been removed from the menu for sure. All that is left for food selections from what I have heard is guac, shrimp cocktail (now served in one larger glass instead of several small ones) and chips with salsa.

Last week, We had the chips and salsa as well as well as some sort of pork rinds who's actual name fails me...

I assume you're talking about chicharrones. Does that sound right?

We were just there on saturday....excited to try Margaritas and snacks.

Most of the food was gone from the menu....I asked about it and our server said they removed it two weeks ago, and that they only had chips and salsa, chips and guacamole, and Shrimp ceviche. We were initially dispappointed:sad2:, but the Margaritas were sooooooo good it was soon forgotten. We did get the chips and salsa and the guacamole.

I don't typically like margaritas, but I tried the avocado one based on the reviews here. I had no idea what to expect, but it was EXCELLENT. The avocado affects the texture more than the flavor.

WHAT ! there was food ?? I only saw margaritas, several of them at that :rotfl: love the blood red

I am dying to try the avocado margarita - we will likely have kids in tow, do they do to-go cups, or is la cava kid friendly? thanks!

I bet they removed the food because they didn't want people to really linger there eating. The place is so tiny, it can be really hard to find a table.

Last time we were there, we saw a family (two adults two kids) eating lunch there but no one was drinking any alcohol! Kinda defeats the purpose.

I don't consider La Cava kid friendly. They allow kids in, and you can purchase non-alcoholic beverages for them, but there is nothing there to amuse children and there is not a lot of room for strollers.

When we were there the first week of May, we asked for the crab tostadas and got them. Didn't even look at the menu!

This is from La Cava Del Tequila's Facebook page:

'We apologize. Food requests were low so we dropped the menu down to chips and guacamole, ceviche and queso dip. Request food the next time you go and tell your friends to do the same! ( ;"

I really hate to hear this :sad1:, we were really looking forward to trying the tostadas along with our margarita's.
