Question about Hub?

Obviously, I am a 1st timer to DL LOL What is the Hub? When people post about staying at top of the hub for fireworks where is that?

The hub is at the bottom of Main Street. It is where the Partners Statue is located.

Right opposite the entrance to the castle at the end of Main street.

Another way to describe the hub: It's the central plaza where the lands meet: Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. My DS called it "Bench Town" when he was young, since there are lots of benches spaced around the hub for resting.
