Here's a stupid question. This is the first time I have made a reservation with an AP rate. Can you use the AP exchange certificates to check-in or do you have to activate them at the ticket counter in the park prior to checking in?

We were allowed to check in with the voucher, then brough the activated AP back by for them to see.

Going along with this theme, can you also activate them at DTD? or is it only at the parks?

Thanks! :wave2:

You can activate them at Guest Services outside of one of the Walt Disney World theme parks, or at the Guest Services Office in Downtown Disney.

As for the original post I'm curious too since I have the same Annual Pass Voucher.

Our first time we just checked in with our voucher, and I'm planning on doing the same thing in July.

I think it depends on the CM. Some let you check in with the voucher and others make you show the activated AP sometime throughout your stay.

like posted before it depends on CM. I honestly have never been asked to show anything. Been asked if I needed tixs more times than I can count too.

In almost 10 years of APs and AP rates I've never been asked to show anything, not once. Amazing! You'd think they'd be more strict about this.
