I made reservations for Hoop Dee Do 6 months before our trip, it was before the packages were out. I was charged ~200+ for our meal. However, we are doing the dining plan and using 2 TS credits instead of paying for the meal. How and when do I go about getting our refund processed? I thought they shouuldn't have charged me until that night or if we did not show. ???

I would call them now and ask for a refund explaining that you will be paying for it with your DDP. You're able to cancel within a certain amount of time.

Hi Becca-Becca!
The same thing happened to us. I just called WDW Dining and they refunded my credit card, but kept it on file to 'hold' my reservation. They were very nice about it and made it sound like it is a common thing.
So call WDW dining today and get your $$$$ back. :thumbsup2

We did the same thing (make the reservation in advance and they charged the card), but the DDP does not include "category 1" seating, which is the better seating (on the floor, up to the stage). DDP is only category 2-3 which is either back of the room or upstairs. I have heard there is no bad seat in the house, though, so maybe it does not matter. We decided to stick with the paid so we could get closer to the action. Can't wait!!

We had Category 2 seating on the floor in the back, and they were great seats. The performers came around to us many times, and we could see the stage with no problems (even our DD who was 5 at the time).

The 9:30 show is Category 1 with DDP, so it depends on the show time you have booked. We have a 9:30 show in Category 1 and it is covered with our DDP.
