Question about hanging shoe organizer

A lot of posts say to get the hanging shoe organizer from Dollar Tree. I guess I thought it would be bigger than it is. It only holds like 8 pr. of shoes (4 across x 2 down). Is this the one everybody gets or do you spend more money at Wal-Mart or somewhere and get a real long one? Or maybe 2 of the dollar ones? What seems to work out best?

The one we use is longer... it has 4 across and maybe 5 down.... We use it on all of our trips... I think I might have gotten it at Target... but it was only a few dollars....it is really worth it even if you have to pay more... it helps keep everything so organized... not sure where you are staying but in the values and the mods there is not a lot of space on the counter / sink area so it really does help... we also have 4 traveling most the time... and one is a teenage girl... she has a lot of stuff..hehe

I have both the kids door organizer and a longer one--both purchased from Dollar Tree. If you have time before your trip, keep looking and asking at Dollar Tree for the longer one; mine is white. Another tip I'm going to use this trip is a hamper for our clothes. I found them for $1 at Dollar Tree too and got one for each of us. That way our dirty laundry isn't piled in a corner :headache: and I can use the hampers to fold and bring the wash back after it's done. I LOVE Dollar Tree! Get hangers as well. You can hang your wash up in the room and only need one dryer instead of 2. Most tops will dry overnight.popcorn:: :surfweb: :cool2: princess:

I also have both sizes. Just keep checking. I was there yesterday and noticed they finally have the pop up clothes hampers back in. It has taken them forever to get those again. Keep trying.

I bought a Dollar Tree shoe hanger after reading this tip on the boards but it really didn't work out for me. The one I bought was too flimsy to hold much and ripped almost immediately. I'll spend a few more $$ and buy something more sturdy for my next trip.

I bought one at the dollar store, one at Target and one at Walmart. I took walmarts back because it was 10 dollars and Targets was 5 dollars. The one at Target was plastic not netting. I wanted that one just in case something leaks.

We are staying at the BC in June. Can anyone tell me what type of hooks should I look for to make sure the organizer will fit over the door? :confused3

I know a lot people mention that you can get one to fit in the closet. I just don't think that will work for us since we seem to always pack the closet with clothes.

I couldn't find any at the Dollar General in our town...
But...
I was at Ross yesterday looking for some clothes and thought to check the bedding area... found a nice over the door hanger for $2.99! These types of stores are hit or miss, so you'd need to check regularly...

I bought one of the plastic ones from Dollar Tree to use when we went to POR last month. It was a great idea but the hooks didn't fit over the bathroom door and they only sort of worked on the armoire (tv cabinet) door. If you are staying in a mod there is a nice shelf above the sinks for putting small items.

The one I got has a clothes hanger type hook on it. It wouldn't hang on the door so I just hung it on the clothes rack right beside the sink. Worked just the same.
