Question about Grey's anatomy?

I just started watchign this show recently and have a question.

the guy that Izzie had 'fun" with in the linen closet....I know they dated earlier this year and she found him in the linen closet with someone else "having fun", right? My question is, when they dated, they never go to the "having fun" part themselves, rihgt? So this week was their first time together???? And what is his name, anyway????

Alex is his name, and I believe these last two episodes are the first time they have "had fun". Alex was having problems "having fun" with Izzie despite numerous tries and was I think trying to prove that he didn't have a problem "having fun" by getting with that nurse. I love Alex and Izzie together!

So, they 'tried" before but just didint' succeed? Or was it that he wasn't trying (like to convince her that he liked her sincerely as opposed to just for that???)
I like them together....and personally I just like HIM! LOL!!!!! He sort of reminds me of Boscoe from Third Watch who I had a huge crush on!

Alex likes to "have fun" a lot, with anyone else who is up to "having fun", but Izzie is someone who he really likes, a lot & he has had a hard time being with her because he is emotionally tied to her & doesn't want her to ever feel used nor does he want to screw things up.

Alex has issues with fear of commitment and rejection. He's quite intimidated by his feelings for Izzie and until the last episode, though he tried he wasn't quite "up" to the task. I'm not sure how I feel about their relationship. I don't think Alex's character has been developed enough for me to root for him yet. I also can't get behind the Meridith/McDreamy pairing. He is after all a married man. How am I supposed to root for a relationship based on lies and adultry?? I don't care how much he loves her, he's MARRIED. He was at least redeemed somewhat in my eyes when he didn't kiss her after the bombing.

Well, to give him some credit. When McDreamy and Meredith hooked up, he was seperated from his wife who had slept with his best friend. I think we are going to see more of this in the next episode. He is trying to make his marriage work, because he thinks that his marriage deserves a second chance, but it isn't so easy to get over the feelings he has for Meredith. I for one hope he kicks the MRS.... to the curb. I have never liked her.

He was on his way to divorce court when he hooked up with Meredith. Derick & Addison were over. She is the one who committed adultry, McDreamy was moving on with life. When she wanted him back, he decided to give it a chance because they had been married for 10 years. Since he made the decision (OK, I missed one episode so I might be a little wrong here) he hasn't been with Meredith at all. And to his credit, in the episode before Christmas, he told Addison (not to be hurtful, but because she needed to know--his words) that Meredith wasn't a fling and wasn't revenge but that he fell in love with her and he just couldn't turn off those feelings, but was committed to working on their (his & Addison's) relationship.

Don't forget Alex is the one who gave the nurse syphillis (sp?) and then she turned around and gave it to George. Seems to me that Alex gets plenty of action. In fact, I THINK when Izzie caught him with the nurse it was Alex's second go-round with the nurse.

Such a shame that they blew up Kyle Chandler (the bomb squad guy). I think he is so cute!

I thought it stunk that McDreamy told his wife on Christmas that he still loved Meredith. I also was surprised he didn't at least hug Meredith after she went through such trauma.
