Question about going in early November

I just booked my studio at AKV for November 1-7th. :cool1: I've not been to WDW the first week of November before. I know that I'm going miss MNSSHP (darn it!) and I'm also too early for the Christmas decorations. Will the Food and Wine Festival still be going on then? Anything else interesting going on in early November?

How will the crowds be? I know I've heard about something called "Jersey Week" happening in November. Does anyone know what week that will be for 2009? Any big cheerleading competitions going on that week? I managed to hit Pop Warner a few years ago, and I swore never again. :headache:

Thanks!

NJEA Teacher's convention is the 5th to the 7th. Because many NJ Public schools are closed for that, many NJ families head to WDW that week.

Have fun...enjoy the last bit of F&W!

We are one of those groups from Nj that will be heading down that week as schools are closed Thurs. and Fri. We go every year that week and love the temperature and the end of the F&W fest. Holiday decorations do start going up during the trip, each morning when we head out to the parks we notice a bit more than the day before.
And as it works out Nov. 2nd is my DD12 13th birthday so we will be there to celebrate.
It is a wonderful time to go, but be prepared for Thursday on being a bit more crowded than earlier in the week.
