Question about GKTW passes

We are so blessed! We just found out that our daughter is getting her "dream come true" through the Dream Factory. Her dream was to meet Ariel. To my surprise, they are sending us to Disney! (I thought they would just have "Ariel" come to her birthday party!) We will be staying at GKTW and they have told us we will get 3 day WDW tix, 2 days at Universal and 1 day at Sea World. My question is, do the tickets expire? We arrive on Sunday and leave on Saturday, which leaves us 5 days. I really think that 3 days at WDW will be a lot for her and I'd like to spend the other two days relaxing at the resort. Would we be able to save the SEa World and Universal tix for another time, possibly? Should I just tell them this at check in and let them keep those tix for others who are more ambitious than us ;) ? Any thoughts??

Yes, the tickets do have expiration dates on them, but the dates can vary. I recall someone telling me they had tickets that expired two weeks after their trip. Ours expired a few months later. Is there any way you can extend your stay by a few days? We did that and wouldn't trade it for the world. We stayed 2 nights at All Star Movies and 2 nights down at St. Pete Beach. That way we were able to spend a "down day" at the Village and enjoy some true relaxation. We ended up using only one day of the Universal tickets, but we don't regret it. The kids had the time of their lives and that's what's most important. You can read about our trip and see some pictures on our family's website: http://www.deputyfamily.net/mickey/index2.htm Scroll down to April 29 for the first day of the trip.

You will have a very magical time, believe me!!

I just got the airfare confirmation yesterday and I would think they would have to pay to change our itinerary at this point and I couldn't ask them to do that. I wish I had though this through earlier but I guess I was so much in shock that it was really happening. If we don't get to do Universal, that's okay. She's going to have such a great time!

I'm going to go check your website now......thank you!!!

I think given the amount of time, it probably is wise to stick to the Disney parks.
We have not been to GKTW, but I have written to enough people who have to know there is a lot to do a GKTW village.
Their website is also very good: www.gktw.org

hope you have a great time:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My son had a wish trip and had 4 days for all those tickets!

We took the Disney and the Sea World but we turned the Universal back in. Sometimes people have extra family members come along on their trip but they do not qualify for the free tickets so GKTW will give them an extra ticket if there is one.

We ended up doing 1 day of Sea World, 2 Magic Kingdom and spent a half day at the Animal Park and the other half day swimming at GKTW. We were happy with the times spent.

Thank you, Susan! I think that's exactly what we will do. I'd love for another family to be able to benefit from the tickets rather than us spend an hour or two there. Thanks for the tip!

We had DD's Wish trip in November and I can say without a doubt that, yes, the tix do expire in 14 days beginning on the first day of your trip.

We used all 3 day passes at WDW but only 1 at Universal. Didn't make it to Sea World as I wasn't feeling well on the day we had alloted for this park :(

There is sooo much to do and not enough days to do it in. GKTW has so much to offer that I didn't feel extremely guilty when I held my family back from going to SW.

I hope you have a wonderful trip!
