So, with MK you drive to the parking lot then walk (or hitch a bus to) the TTC? And then the monorail takes you to the park entrance?

What about the other 3 parks? Do you just drive to the parking lot and then walk to the entrance? Or do you use the TTC for the other parks as well?

We're staying off site.

If you're driving to each park:

MK : park and take a tram to the TTC although if you get parking close to the TTC its close enough to walk over. Then you take a monorail or ferryboat over to MK.

Epcot: park and take a tram or walk to entrance,I rarely take the trams here as its usually easier to walk over, the parking lot feels closer to the entrance

AK and DHS:Same as Epcot, park and tram or walk over but its more common to take the tram than walk than at Epcot. You'll be able to tell when you park how close the entrance will be to be able to walk.

Buses cut the transportation time down by far at the MK, even having to wait awhile when the park closes. Epcot is even a more quick turn around. HS is quicker to get in but a much longer wait if you leave when the park closes. Ak is fine going or going. We enjoy not having to drive after a long day.

How much do busses cost and how far do they go?

The busses are free. They run between the parks and Disney Resorts. You didn't say whether you are staying onsite or offsite. If offsite, the busses won't do much good for you.

In our experience, the time waiting for busses and the bus ride, etc all even out the time of driving ourselves and parking/getting to the park.

And I prefer leaving on my own schedule, etc. since you're offsite, busses don't matter anyway.

The OP is staying off site, the only reason they would use the buses would be if they were park hopping.
