Question about getting into the parks before check-in

Hello everyone. I looked in the FAQS in both this and the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies as well and had a question.

I booked a package through Disney for March 28 - April 4. Now I know the check in time is at 3, however, we are driving and will be arriving before the parks open. Do we have to check in to get our tickets and use the transportation or how does it work? We don't want to waste a full day waiting to get our tickets to the parks at 3. Any advice?

You can check in once you arrive and they will give you your keys w/ park tickets / dining etc. They will give you a number to call back to see if your room is ready once you leave the parks. You can store your luggage in the car or check it with bell services.
So in order to access the parks yes you need to check in.

Thanks for the quick response. Just making sure but if we arrive at 7 am, we can check-in just for the tickets and then call back for the room later at night?

You can check in, they will give you your room IDs with your tickets on them. Plus a number to call to see when your room is ready. We'll arrive before our room is ready and park the car with all our stuff. Then get on a bus to the MK.

You can also ask for a parking pass when you check in (as noted above, you can check in before check in time; you just may not get a room right away), so you can drive to the parks and park for free if you'd prefer that to Disney's transportation.

Yes, I checked into WL around 7am to get our park passes, and we had a breakfast at CRT at 8am. No problem getting our tix and then taking the boat over to MK.
