Hi all!!! I am planning my disney wedding and I have a question. My wedding is still 20 months away... I want it for Jan 22nd 2007 lol... I know its far away but I dont feel like I have enough time from now 'til this January to pull everything together so we are waiting so 'til then.My question is how much info or planning will Disney let you do since they wont book the date untill 12 months ahead??? Will they give me an estimate??? I will be at Disney in Sept will they let me go see locations or anything like that or do I have to wait.... I just want to know before I call or go there .... I don't need to waste time if they are just going to give me the basic info that I already have thanks to all you guys!Thanls for any advice you can give.

Are you having an intimate or custom wedding?

For myself, it has been quite effortless....to say the least. I'm having an intimate and really only have to pick out bridal bouquet and music...everything else is almost pre-packaged.

Custom weddings are more detailed, I'm sure.

I am not getting married til July 06 but I was there in Jan and they let us go inside the wedding pavillion to look around in between weddings. We took lots of pictures! And they gave us the planning information and DVD but said that it might not be current when we book ours.

I can totally sympathize with you—I had a 22-month engagement myself. Disney isn’t very forthcoming with information this far out, but they do have some standard information they can give you. They have sample budgets that can help give you an idea of what things cost. As far as site visits go, I think they don’t generally do those until you’re around a year away at the earliest. Don’t worry though—this board and www.yourfairytale.com are 2 great resources to help you plan. Also, there is an ezboard group called the Disneymooners that’s another great place for info!

we did a site visit & received basic information from ftw before the 1 year book date, we went almost a year ago and our custom wedding is this march 2006. you can't plan to much with ftw before the 1 year but i was able to view the locations we wanted & we received a information packet & we able to discuss some venue details & sample budgets. during this time i would just suggest saving your money & researching for the big day. that was my agenda.

Hi
Just F.Y.I we are not getting married til May 2007 and we are going for site inspection this May, so that's 2 years out! I think as long as you make it clear that you ARE going to book when the one year mark comes along you'll be fine. They respond better if they know you're serious. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the responses!! It looks like I will just have to keep reading these boards everyday and asking questions until the one year mark. I thought I was the only one that was planning a wedding so far in advance but it looks like I'm not!! Thanks again!
