If we gate check our stroller does that count towards are 2 check in pieces per person or can we still bring 4 suitcases and the stroller?

Thanks in advance!

For those of you who Gate Check your strollers, how long does it typically take the crew to bring your stroller back up to the gate after the flight?

Unless I'm sitting up toward the front of the plane, our strollers have always been waiting for us. Once I had to wait about 3 minutes, but that's all. We traveled with strollers probably 5 or 6 times. They are pretty fast about it.

They're pretty quick to bring up the gate check items. I don't know that we've ever waited more than 5-10 mins and we've gate checked on numerous flights on various airlines. In fact, if you're sitting towards the rear of the plane, your stroller will probably already be waiting for you when you leave the plane.

Can you gate check a stroller and a car seat?? Can you carry on car seats??
I suppose you're talking baout a car seaty that is NOT going to be sued by the child as a seat.

Well, if the car seat is small enough to fit under the seat in front of you or in an overhead bin, you can carry it on, the same criteria for any other carry-on. But otherwise, no dice.

I am a former Delta flight attendant (and aunt to 3 toddlers), and always recommend that parents use carseats for their kids on the flight. Unfortunately, the government does not require the use of carseats on airplanes, which makes many parents think it must be okay not to use them. That is just not true.

Most parents who would never dream of driving around in their car without putting their precious children in car seats. But, they get on a plane, which goes @ 200 mph on the ground, and the carseat suddenly seems unnecessary. If the pilot has to slam on the brakes during takeoff or landing going 200 mph, a child is not safe in a lap or in the lap belt.

I know that many parents are just trying to save money by keeping the child under 2 on their lap, but your child's life and safety are worth the few hundred bucks. What really surprised me was the number of parents who actually paid for a child's seat, but didn't bring the carseat onboard.

Please, for the safety of your own children, use a government approved carseat on the airplane.

So, how many children did you PERSONALLY witness get injured because they weren't in a car seat?

Thank goodness, I never witnessed any child injuries. My point is, why take a risk with your precious child??
