question about Fulton's

can i get some advise, is it worth it?

I only ate there once and really enjoyed my soup. I had the bisque and my hubby had the chowder.

I had swordfish for dinner, and it was overcooked. My husband had a steak and said it was fine.

We split a key lime pie slice for dessert. It was fine, but for the price it was rather disappointing.

We haven't been back, but have family that live in the area who love it there.

Fulton's is a favorite of ours. If it were on the dining plan, we would go every year but usually go once every other year. You can read last year's review in the last link of my signature. And if you do a search for MickeyNicki, you will see she has at least two reviews as we hooked her and her DH on to Fulton's and they go almost every trip now as well.

I love, love, love Fulton's. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the money. I love to eat out.

If you are looking for something still very good, but a bit less pricey, try out Paradiso 37. It is South American food. We got a bunch of appetizers to share. The cold beer (yes, they tell you really how cold it is), and the frozen margaritas are to die for.

Expensive, yes. Worth it..YES! The crab legs were unbelievable! The desserts were fabulous too. We got the trio of desserts (forget the name). We almost didn't go because we are from NE and used to GOOD seafood...this place did not disappoint IMHO. I think it was $200 for the two of us but that included appetizer, the meal, dessert and two alcoholic drinks each (with glow cubes).

I love Fultons - it is where I tried seared tuna for the first time in my life years ago and where I consequently got hooked on it (they serve it as an appetizer sliced paper thin) - YUM! The last time I went I had their seasonal catch of the day which was Mahi Mahi and it was perfectly done.

I love Fulton's - they are expensive, but by far the bast crab I have ever had - and I've had alot of crab!!! I was a flight attendant and have traveled to 40 countries and dining in all of them, as well as NYC where I used to live...Fulton's Crab was the best. We like to try new places, and we've been there 3 times already, so we may skip it in November..but on the other hand...now you got me craving crab!

Have you thought of Flying Fish? Fulton's looks good but it is expensive. Flying Fish in DTD is great.

I think we ate on the "boat" in 1978. Does anyone know how their crab cakes compare to Maryland crab cakes, such as from Fisherman's Inn near Kent Island?

I'm not sure; it certainly won't hurt to ask...they try to be very accomodating (such as I believe fried shrimp is served at lunch, but they will make it at dinner if you request it). I think you will love them...Nicki's husband and I certainly do.

My family and I had dinner there in August 2008 and I thought it was worth it, because their food was very good.

I kept saying I'd never be able to eat it all, and I made it through it


DD and I went there in Nov for her birthday trip (she's a huge seafood fan) and it was her favorite meal of the trip. They treated her like a queen, and she loved the crab legs on the kids menu. I had the claws and they were so good. It is expensive, but for us Midwesterners it was well worth it to get seafood that fresh

I don't have an answer for you to your question but I do have to ask -- Do you really believe anyone in FL could make a crab cake that could even begin to compare with one from Kent Island? I refuse to buy crab cakes anywhere but in MD. Only Eastern Shore people know how to do it right!
