Do the fridges in the studios have a little freezer section? And if so, is it cold enough to make ice cubes if I bring a tray?

I have a split stay between BCV and AK Kidani. Mainly wondering about BCV.

Thanks!

Very few of them have freezer sections. And you cannot request one.

My BLT studio fridge did have a little freezer section but it was not able to keep my pint of ice cream from melting.

They started switching out the fridges that had freezers with ones that don't although I think in one or two new resorts they've used the ones with freezers again. At this point it's gotten pretty impossible to tell what you'll get. AKV - maybe. BCV was one that I think got switched to no freezer.

We were at BLT yesterday. The studio had a tiny freezer that kept the ziplock bag of ice cubes I brought still frozen. We were there just one night but I would think ice cream would be fine.

We bring frozen bottles of water and line the fridge with them. If we have something that we want to be sure stays cold enough in the fridge, we will put freezer bags of ice cubes in the fridge. I always bring an assortment zip lock bags in my suitcase for all sorts of things, hand wipes, phone on water rides or rain, wet bathing suits. I haven't noticed laundry bags for dirty clothes, last couple of stays at Disney, so a bag for that too. I'm not sure of the temperature of those mini-fridges? We always drive and bring a cooler.

Yep. I bring a fridge thermometer whenever we travel. You'd be surprised how many hotel fridges are sitting at a temperature NOT cold enough for proper food safety. Usually there is a setting or dial, but you don't know how to set it unless you have a thermometer.
