Question about FP for Give a day get a disney day

I was looking at the give a day get a disney day, but we have annual passes. Has anyone gotten the FP when you turned in your voucher? How does it work? Is it only for one ride or all the rides at a particular park? Has anyone seen the ear hat figurine? If anyone has pics of the hat figurine, I would love to see them. Thanks!
