Since the time frame for our trip will be just after Father's Day and I would like to surprise my Dad with the Fishing excursion and my husband with the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I would just like any input on what people thought of them, that have experienced them. Where they worth the money? Would you do it again? etc.
Thanks for any input, it is greatly appreciated.

DH and I did the fishing excursion last Feb. We had a great time! DH said it was wonderful (this was from a man who bass fishes all the time). Our guide, Jody Jones, was great. We did the 7am trip from the Wilderness Lodge. I am waiting for DH to decide if he wants to do it on again on our November trip. Have fun! I wanted to go June 18th through the 28th (my birthday is the 19th) but Dh said he just didn't think he could take the Florida heat, so we booked a November trip.

We do at least one fishing excursion on every trip - this past December we did two - one from BWI and one from WL. We love them both, but prefer the Bay Lake area - just more peaceful. We always catch some good size fish and just really enjoy the excursions. Highly recommended!

Here is a lot of info on the fishing: http://www.allearsnet.com/btp/fish.htm

DB and I did a fishing excursion last summer and just loved it. We will be doing it again next year with DS. :thumbsup2

my dh did the 'passenger experience' on the racetrack and loved it and totally thought it was worth the money. i think the driver experience requires a 3 hour course or something, which he didn't feel like putting the time into. hth!

We went in April and left from the poly. Carrie was our guide and is great, she helped DGD bait and cast. Everyone caught large mouth bass. DGD caught "12" all big 3 to 5 lbs. We went at 10am. Enjoy. :fish: :fish: :fish:

My DH did the Richard Petty driving (10 laps for $400) in Sept. He was totally excited! It said it was awesome! Worth every penny!!! The 3 hour class actually did not last that long due to a small amount of people in the class. He definately will do it again next time! I had better start saving my pennies!

DH has done the Richard Petty Rookie experience (10 laps?) twice. He loves it - so worth the money (it was his 40th BD present and then fathers day. They at once time gace a AAA discount (not sure if they still do). He bought the picture in the card the first time and has his lap sheets from both trips. He said it was very well run and organized.

Someday DH would love to do the big experience (King??) but that is very pricey.

I gave my DH the Rookie experience with Petty. He still talks about it. Like another poster his was less than 3 hours because fewer people. We talked about doing it again this trip - but since we now have kids didn't want to take the funds or time away from time in the parks.

Thank you to everyone that replied. I will definately be setting this up for both Dad and Husband. I know they will both love the experience.
