Question about first day of vacation/getting tickets etc.

OK, apologies in advance as this is a bit complicated.

If i want to visit a park before checking into the hotel, what do I do? I'm going to buy the tickets from Disney here in the UK - last time I did this I got print outs that were then converted to park tickets at guest services. Do I just do that again then get them added on to the magi-bands at check in?

What happens about car parking at the theme park? I'm assuming I would have to pay as I won't have resort ID. Can I then claim back the cost?

It just seems a bit of a drag to have to go to the hotel (BLT) on the first morning to sort this out, if there's a better way of doing it.

Do they ship Magic Bands to the UK? If so, everything will be on your band. But tbh, if you're at BLT, then parking at the resort, checking in, and walking to MK, or monorail to TTC then Epcot is far easier than most folks have at other hotels. Have a hreat trip!

Your tickets should have some sort of confirmation/ticket number on them that you can connect to MDE when you get them. Anything connected to MDE will be on your magicband. We bought some for my son from Parksavers and I added them on MDE and that was all we had to do. We did not have to get them activated. I agree with the PP who said if you are staying at BLT, it would probably just be easier to go ahead and check in and park your car there then monorail it to either MK or Epcot. Your room doesn't have to be ready to check in, if you do it on line you will just have to go through the on line check in line, you can have BS store your bag. In some cases, people get the text with their room number in which case you don't even have to check in. Alternatively, you can just go ahead and park at BLT, they will have your name at the gate since you are staying there and just go to the park, you don't have to check in. If you don't already have your MBs you will have to go to the front desk to get them. It has never taken me longer than 30 min to check in and be on my way to a park.

If you are from the UK, you won't receive your MBs until you check in at BLT, so you might as well go directly there and check in. MK is just a 10 min walk from there, or you hop onto the monorail to get to Epcot, as the others have said.

Of course, if you already have MBs from a previous trip and they're still active, you COULD use those. Once you've added your ticket confirmation numbers into your MDE account, you can make your FP bookings 60 days in advance. Any of the MBs assigned to you on your MDE account will work interchangeably.
