Question about February 2007

Hi. I was just wondering if any of you out there have stayed at the WDW resorts the LAST week before the rates go up to the HIGH SEASON rates. (In 2007, the value rates go up Feb 15). So we were thinking of saving big money by going Feb 10-14 to get the value rate instead of going feb 17-21 and paying the peak rate. Also, this is the week BEFORE presidents day (as I believe pres day is Feb 19, 2007) are the parks any slower the week before (last value week) versus the next week which is starting peak rates and Presidents week? Just curious. I figured by going a week earlier (as we are doing the cruise after WDW) we could save $800.00 just on the hotel and only have to pull the kids out of school one more day (total of 6)! Any input would be appreciated I never knew that planning a Disney trip could be "stressful" Thanks a bunch

That is our week we went last Feb.2005 and we loved it. It isn't busy at all. About a 25 min. wait if you don't have fast passes but you have to watch for the cheerleading teams. Don't get me wrong they were great with us and we had no problems with them at all. But they put up the attendance for the parks. We love going this time and we hope to go again this Feb. if the $ will allow us too(moving to a new house in NOV). If not it will be in March while the kids are off for the break and we can't stay on site

The weather was great and only sweatshirts at night while watching the fireworks and fantasmic.

We are going to WDW this coming February (2/9/07 - 2/17/07). I had to jump into this thread just to see if anyone else had been there before during the week we are planning on going. I heard from some WDW Veterans that it is better to go before President's Day. I guess the parks start getting crowded the week of President's Day. Not to mention, but also The Daytona 500 and Mardi Gras are in the same week as President's Day. Each of which brings in their own crowds for various reasons.

We went the week before presidents day this year (Feb 06) Although it was my first trip to disney- so I have no other experience to compare to. It was a pretty good. at times there where some longer lines. We didn't really want to wait in a line longer than 20 mins though Being that we have a three year old. Yah we saw cheerleaders, thankfully they left after our second day in the parks. They were a pain the one day in the pool too. That's teenagers for you though. We are going back in 2007 at the same time. We enjoyed ourselves though.
