Question about Falmouth Excursions

Hi - we are sailing in February with a stop in Falmouth - my daughter will be one week shy of her 8th birthday. We'd like to do the Good Hope Estate Thrill Seekers Pass, which on the Chukka website says it is for 6 and up. But the Disney site says it is 8 and up. Knowing Disney is a stickler for age restrictions, has anyone found a work around for this? Is it an option to book directly through Chukka (I fear they may have an exclusive contract). If not, any recommendations on a tour company we could use to take us ziplining and tubing?

thanks!

The only "work around" is booking it privately. DCL is strict about their age restrictions. Some private excursion companies do have exclusive contracts. But you won't know if that one does, unless you try booking it.

Only other option is to rebook the cruise for a week later, if you want to use the DCL excursion.

i would try adn book with them direct. i've done it for an excursion offered by DCL but my DS was not old enough. Last year for Zip LIne. disney had to be 8. But zipline direct it was 5. He was 7. just call Chukka and don't mention disney. just you'd like to book an excursion and the dates.

The issue is when you make a direct reservation, you must put a pick up location where they come to get you and return you to after the excursion. I'm not sure you can just book the excursion and just show up at the gate.

Thanks everyone - i called them and they said due to contractual obligations i could not book with them if coming in on Disney. I guess i could try to book it as if we are staying at one of the hotels, take a cab to the hotel, and then have them pick us up there - but that sounds like lots of opportunities for things to go wrong. I just dont get the age discrepancy!

It has to do with insurance. DCL insurers apparently feel that age 8 is the youngest they are willing to take the chance on for the excursion. While the location itself is willing to risk down to age 6.

I'm sorry to hi-jack this tread.. but we were also wondering about this excursion in Falmouth as well as Melia Beach Break (fa69). Has anyone done Melia Beach Break? Is lunch included or do you pay extra? It's not really clear from the DCL description.
