Question about Extra Magic Hour for mornings at the Magic Kingdom

Last December my Dad & I did the Extra Magic Hour in the morning for the Magic Kingdom. Well when we got off the Resort Monorail comming from the Contemporary around 7:45 AM, but then I noticed people comming of the Express Monorail from the TTC. I am sure the people comming of the Express Monorail were guests staying off site from Walt Disney World because why would they be on the Express Monorail & they either drove to the Magic Kingdom or took a bus from wherever they were staying. Now correct me of I am wrong but isn't the Extra Magic Hour (mornings or evenings) only for Walt Disney World Resort guests, so how could people who were staying off site get into the Magic Kingdom for 7:45 AM when it was the Extra Magic Hour morning & not at 9:00 AM when the park opens for everyone?

I forgot to mention that I am not trying to sound like a snoob here by the way I wrote the origional post, I just thought Extra Magic Hour was for WDW Resort guests only & found it funny that off site guests were also comming into the Magic Kingdom at the same time. So I am not taking shots at guests who stay off site, I am just curious how they got into the Magic Kingdom during the EMH.

Transportation Center is parking for MK. Anyone staying on site who didn't use WDW transportation would have to access MK from the transportation center. Lots of people who stay on site drive; parking is free for them. It doesn't matter when they arrive at the gates, it's when they get in that matters. Last I was there, they checked to make sure we were staying on site before we were allowed in.

Some of the International Drive hotels are extended the EMH option as well. I think the Hilton is one of them. There may be others.

I do agree with you. One of the advantages to staying on site is the morning EMH. When they first began it, they didn't always check the passes/keys, but I know they have every time I've done EMH recently.

At March break, we had to show our room keys...but it would have been easy to scam our way in (most people did have their room keys out and ready to show).

Ok I do see your point & thanks for letting me know that, but would it not make more sence to re-direct the WDW Resort guests who parked at the Magic Kingom, to the Resort Monorail? The way I see it if guests who are staying off site try to board the Express Monorail during the EMH might say to the CM how come they got on but you won't let us on? I just think it's easier that way, but if it's not please let me know your opinions.

In order to get through the turnstyles at the park entrance, you need to have your room key in hand, to show the CM. I have never been able to get into any of the parks morning EMHs without my room key to show. I have seen people turned away. So, for the most part, those non-resort people would have to just stand around for an hour or so before getting in. The system works pretty well, so why change it.

And the answer would be because they are resort guests.

Its the same if a non-WDW resort guest wants to board the resort monorail.

They are certainly allowed to do so.
Off-property guests can ride any monrail, boat or bus that on-property resort guests can ride.

It up to the "gate-keepers" at the entrance of MK to check for resort tickets.

Really I always thought it was just Walt Disney World Resorts only, so I learned something new. Just curious why International Drive? Wouldn't it make more sence for Hotels on 192 or in Lake Buena Vista because they are closer to Walt Disney World.

There are lots of explanations and I'm sure you'll get many more. Disney isn't in the habit of confronting this type of thing. They just hope that guests follow the procedures as they are intended. Pool hopping, parking at BW to enter Epcot without paying to park, things like that. If it became epidemic, they'd do something to prohibit it.
