Question about Escape Package Minimum Costs

Hello everyone, My dh and I are thinking about doing an Escape vow renewal next year. I have a question though and I am sure someone who has been through the process here may have the answer!

On the main page for the Escape package it says, "Vow Renewals start at approximately $4,000* and includes an organist and solo Violinist for the ceremony and the magical amenities package". (The star just goes to a place that says this does not include the minimum 4 nights stay). But then, on the Common Questions page it says "The following minimum expenditures (excluding tax and service charges) must be met to host an event at the WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort.... MINIMUM EXPENDITURE Monday - Thursday, Premium Season: $10,000, Regular Season: $10,000, Low Season: $10,000...etc".

So which is it- do the packages really start at $4000, or do you have to spend at least $10,000? I find this very confusing!!!

If it is an escape package then there is no minimum spend. You just pay for the package that you want i.e if you want the WP the price is more about $5500 I think, and the other locations around the $4000 mark. The mins are for Wishes I imagine. HTH

The website is VERY confusing, and the prices are out of date.

The Escape Package is $4,500 (2008-2009) for outdoor locations or $5,500 for the Wedding Pavilion (which is where you get an organist in addition to the viloinist).

Wishes Weddings (i.e., customized) have the $10,000+ minimums you saw.

I second that I was looking at escape weddings too and it says 'for additional guests (up to 18 maximum) additional elements are at an additional cost'. Does this mean there is a charge for additional guests? if so does anyone know how much per guest? Thanks

Yeah, that is also really confusing.

All it means is that if you have more people than the one included bottle of Fairy Tale Cuvee will serve (4-6 people) you have to buy more Cuvee or cider or soft drinks or whatever beverage if you want everyone to join in on the toast.

There are no per-guest charges for more than 4-6 guests.

BTW: that extra bottle of champagne with tax comes to $74.50 EEEK!!
