Hello everyone,

I was wondering if any of you could explain how the photoshoot in Epcot works?

1) Do you have to wear your wedding dress - or can you choose to wear a different (but still very fancy) dress? For example; a bridesmaid type/color dress.

2) Is it possible to set up a photo session in Epcot if you are NOT getting married at Disney? (But celebrating your honeymoon or annivesary) If so, how much does something like this cost?

**the reason we are asking is because we thought it would be fun to have 'fancy' pictures of us, in a romantic setting such as Epcot..in something other than our wedding attire.

If this is not a possibility - where would you recommend doing something like this? Can you hire a photograhper to take pictures around the resorts? Does it have to be a Disney photograhper or can it also be an outside photograher? Also, which resorts would you recommend doing this at? Thanks SO much!:thumbsup2

I can't say for sure whether a non-bride can have a photo shoot @ Epcot but I know that you can only have the MK shoot if you are a DFTW bride. I'm having our vow renewal @ the swan and was told that we could still have a photo shoot @ any park other than MK so I assume that the same would apply to you.

You can definitely have photo shoots around the resorts with your own photographer. Randy Champman has done many wonderful shoots around Disney. The faves of most people are: Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and the Boardwalk. I'm a GF gal myself. You'd be able to wear whatever you want. If you do a shoot IN the parks I'm pretty sure that you have to go through Disney photography.

We are doing our EPCOT session the day before our wedding and I'm wearing a what is technically a bridesmaids dress from David's Bridal. My DF will be wearing a nice suit. We're actually treating it more as a post-wedding photo session (as we will be wearing our wedding bands even though we are not technically married yet). We decided to do the session before our wedding as a practice for our MK photo session. (Okay, so the MK session will probably be completely different, but still... In our heads it is a practice run).

So, no... You don't have to wear bridal attire for an EPCOT session. :)

I've seen engagement sessions at EPCOT, so I'm guessing you don't have to be a DFTW bride to do it. You'd have to contact Disney Special Events Photography though.
