Question about end date ... Not extension

Question about contract end dates. If the BCV contracts expire on 1/31/42 and I have an April use year, is 2041 the last year I will get points? A long way out, I know, but just wondering!

Since there has never been and end date yet, only Disney knows what they will do.

Agreed. I expect that the last points for all UYs will be 2041 points. It could get a bit tricky at the end especially for Dec UYs if DVC were to do something like suspend banking and borrowing. They would then have 2 months to use the final points. It's unknown how it'll actually work though.

Since the expirations all occur on January 31st and since there is no January use year, there will be no 2042 points. So, yes, 2041 will be your last set of points.

We don't know. Due to the staggered use years, there will not be enough villas to allow everyone to use all 2041 points. They could prorate them, do a lottery, allow voluntary opt outs, or allow a free for all. My guess is they'll have a combination of these in some way and have reduced fees for points not used. I expect they'll limit banking the last 3 years or so and may or may not limit borrowing.

My guess is they have a general idea and a couple of plans but nothing absolute or final. They'd be foolish not to have some long range planning but also foolish to make a final plan now. While it only kicks the can down the road it's very possible, if not likely, that part of the plan is to offer some type of extensions for the resorts either to current members (far more likely) or by reselling (far less likely).
