This year we stayed at WL the week before 4th of July and it was really crowded, but fun. Next year we're thinking of going during my youngest son's spring break (he is a sophomore in high school and I don't want him to miss any time) which is April 7-April 17th. Even though I would LOVE to go at Christmas, he is only off the week between Christmas and New Year's and I know that will be too crowded for us. We were okay with the crowd level this past June but I am worried that the week before Easter will be much worse. Can anyone compare the two?

Thanks for the help! :flower:

I would say that the Easter week is the crowdest that I have personally ever seen the parks. That's not to say that I minded it though. I'm just one of those people who likes the extra stuff at the busy times. Better hours, more entertanment, and they actually add cars and things to the rides so that that it's not as bad as it could be.

It's not as hot as June, and I like it then. The only thing that bugs me just a very little bit is the spring breakers, but the CMs seem to keep them in check pretty much, unlike other amusement parks.

We had our 1st easter trip 2 years ago and will go for 2006 too because its the ds spring break and they are high schoolers too. They dont like to get up early, note to self: throw early morning tourning plan out the window. We were surpised actually at how very crowded it was. Standing room only on most of the buses, actual lines just to get a fastpass, fastpass return times of like 6 hours later, not good if you wanted to park hop, alot of sit down restraunts turning people away with no adrs and table stalking at counter service restraunts. If you plan well you will have a good time, the parks are open alot later. The weather is much more bearable also.

Thanks for the replies! I think we are just going to do it. At least the weather will be better to handle the crowds, yet still okay to swim. My kids love the water parks and I think we are going to try to split a stay this time between AKL and Beach Club.

Is it crowded during Spring Break? Definitely. But the weather is fantastic, especially for us folks that have been stuck in the snow and cold all winter.

We've been to WDW during every season, except the Christmas to New Year time. We've always been able to do everything we wanted because during the busy times the parks are open longer hours. When it's off season, MK may close at 6:00 or 7:00, but that's ok because with smaller crowds you can do whatever you want. During Spring Break it's pretty routine for MK to be open until midnight or sometimes later with the extra magic hours, so you get to do whatever you want, it just takes a little longer.
