Question about DVC

I a little confused with the DVC renting points. I am thinking of going to Disney twice this year. One of the dates are November 13-17. I would like to stay at the Boardwalk or Beach Club. How many points would I need? We are also thinking of going December 1-8. How many points would I need for certain places?

do be aware that those times are pretty popular for DVCers...they often book up completely 10-11 months in advance. beach club and boardwalk are also among the smaller DVC resorts and very popular. which is all to say you may run into some difficulties at this point of the year in renting pts for those dates for 2008.

Those are very very popular weeks for DVC members, so your chances of finding availability at the resorts you want will be slim. You may have a chance on the rent boards of finding someone with a reservation already made that they maybe willing to sell you.

As the old saying goes, "nothing ventured, nothing gained" you will never know until you go on the rent board and put up a post.

If you want to rent a reservation from a member, you get a better chance of getting that reservation if you contact a member at least 11 months out.

I think Dec 1-8 is pretty much sold out at DVC villas right now and there is a waitlist. Your Nov dates are also pretty iffy.
