Question about DVC stay.

I have a 2bdr at OKW for 7 nights. (exchange thru RCI) I will be there for four of those nights with 5 other people. My sister is planning on bringing her family for the last 3 nights. Will that be a problem since i will not be there while they are staying? What do i need to do to let OKW know they will be there and i will be leaving?

How are you going to transfer the room key to your sister? They won't clean the room or change linens between the guests. Your sister will get the same linens you had with your guests, including the soiled towels and sheets. If you have more than eight different people on the reservation, you won't be able to get keys for the additional guests.

I think you may have a problem with this.

The room holds 8 and there will never be more than 6 in the room. We can wash the sheets on the 5th day before my sister gets there. We are leaving on the 5th day and my sister is taking the room. i guess i will call to see what i need to do.

What I was thinking was adding your sister's name to the reservation from the start. When she arrives, she gets a key to the villa. You can leave the other keys in the villa for her when she arrives. No one would be able to add their theme park admission to their ticket, though.

I doubt this will be allowed, as all occupants need to be listed on the reservation, whether they come and go during the stay or not.

That's true, Chuck. Maybe the OP could go to the front desk on the day he leaves and change the guests on the reservation and leave himself on for the entire stay. I wonder if that would work.

Probably should call MS and see what they say.

If anyone was wondering i called MS and they said i would have to discuss it with RCI. So i called RCI and they said that if i am still there when my sister shows up then it will be no problem. I can leave at anytime and they can checkout as long as i am there when she arrives. If i was going to be gone when they arrived i would have to purchase a guest certificate for them. I guess that will work since there will never be more than 7 people in the room overnight.
