Is there any reason to keep a policy of Title Insurance for my DVC membership? I'm cleaning out my files and have 2 different ones - I have 3 contracts now, at HH, BCV, and AKV. Isn't title insurance just a short term policy?? I don't really understand why I had it, but I would love to throw away these bulky policies, instead of storing them for the next 35 years.

Also, any real reason to keep the bulky little POS booklets? I have 2 small ones that say multi-site, and I'll keep one of them, but I have the yellow one for HH and the purple one for AKV. I don't have the BCV one, though, because I bought it resale. Any real reason to keep these, if I've never really read a page of them???

Thanks for your help!!!

We were told to keep the insurance policy unless we sold it later. i'm not sure why but we did

Keep it. Let's say that in 5 years there's a question regarding the validity of your deed. Your title insurance will cover it. Title insurance is not short term.

Good luck. Amy

OK, I'll keep the title insurance policies. What about those POS booklets? Anyone ever thrown one out and needed it later???

Btw, I think I accidentally shredded my DVC member PIN number. I saw some random string of numbers as the postcard was going through the metal teeth - I thought it was a duplicate of something I already had, but now I think I just shredded the wrong piece of paper. Do I just call MS to get a new copy of the PIN number? I know my login and password, so it would be more for the time I might need to re-register for some reson - right now the PIN is saved by my computer.

Thanks, everyone!!
