Question about DVC housekeeping supplies

Hi...I am planning my first DVC stay ever and have a few questions about the amounts of some housekeeping items that we will need; how much is provided or do we need to provide our own:

Automatic dishwasher detergent: enought to wash 1 load a night, for 7 nights?

Laundry Detergent: enough for one load every night, for 7 nights?

Trash bags: enough to take trash out every day for 7 days?

Toilet paper?

Paper towels?

I can easily suppliment these items when we get our groceries delivered, but sure would hate to buy extra that I dont use, and would then go waste.

We have found that the amount and brand of supplies varies by resort. Remember they will restock your supplies on day 4. You may need extra washing machine soap. Extra trash liners will be found at the bottom of the trash cans. Have Fun

When you fill up your trash, do you bring it outside to the dumpster, or is there a chute? Or some other arrangement?

There will be a trash can somewhere. Just like the signs that tell you the room numbers and location of the ice machines, they have signs for the trash cans. Still lost, punch the front desk button on your room phone and they will give you directions.

For dishwasher detergent, they only supply enough for one load. They really don't expect you to run the dishwasher every day. At OKW, we got a small box of Cascade. At the other resorts, we got a single pouch of Cascade.

At BWVs we had several pouches of dishwasher soap. At SSR we had the small box of Cascade but we got several washes out of it. Guess you never know. In a pinch they do have additional supplies in the resort store or if you ask nice, any of the cleaning staff seem more than happy to give you extra.

Whenever I run out I sumply ask a mousekeeper for more. They have always seemed perfectly happy to give 3 or 4 packets of coffee everytime I ask them. amazing what a nice tip does
