You will need to pay any dues for points you recieve that are usable now and they would be prorated to that date. So if you were to buy 50 ssr points today you would get the 2006 points providing your use year is June or later and have to pay dues on them starting May 24 to dec 31 2007
OK, so would it be twice the amount of the dues we pay now? Or are dues based on the amount of points you have? (ie. I think we pay about $50 month for dues right now; if we add on points at another resort, would we pay another $50 or would it be a percentage of that?)
Dues are a function of the number of points you own and also the resort you own since the dues are different at each resort. For example, the 2007 dues at SSR are $4.12 per point. The 2007 dues at VWL are $4.73 per point. If someone owns 100 points at SSR and 50 points at VWL, you would calculate the total dues for 2007 like this:
SSR: 100 points * $4.12/point = $412.00
VWL: 50 points * $4.73/point = $236.50
TOTAL DUES OWED FOR 2007: $648.50
Now if this owner pays their dues monthly, they would owe about $34.33 per month on their SSR contract and $19.71 per month on their VWL contract so the total monthly outlay for both contracts would be $54.04.
