Okay...so not very budget minded question here but I have a problem. My DS 7 says he wants a DSi. Upon questioning him, he admits that he only wants it for the camera in it and NOT to play video games. He isn't a "gamer" kind of kid so I thought that would be the case. I am trying to talk him into just asking Santa for a camera with some cool computer software to use to manipulate the pics the way he wants but he isn't buying it so far. My question is this....for anyone who has the DSi already, is the camera on it a good one? Is the resolution clear? I am really thinking he would like just a regular camera better....

My next question is this. My DS10 says he wants a PSP. He is a big gamer and LOVES his DS and Wii. I am trying to talk him into a DSi because he already has tons of DS games but he insists on wanting a PSP. Who out there has both and what are the pros with going for a PSP?

Thanks so much to my budget board friends for any suggestions or comments, negative or positive, that you can give me!!!

The camera on the DSI is cute and fun, but the DSI was never really intended to be used as a stand alone camera and the quality is not as good as a point and click. And indoor pictures can be dark or unreadable. But my DD loves the camera on her DSI.

We have a DS, DSI and PSP in the house. There is a difference between DS and DSI but not enough to justify needing both a DS and DSI. The PSP in our house doesn't get a lot of play where as the DS/DSI is on too much. We all enjoy the type of games offered by Nintendo more. Do you have a 360? It has a higher price point than a PSP but is a great gaming system.
