Question about Dolphin w/teacher discount

Does anyone know if the policy still applies that, if the first night of a reservation is under a discount rate, the remainder of the nights are then also booked at that rate? I'm booking through DreamsRes, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

I would say yes (though not positive), as that is the policy with a 'regular' Disney resort, first day dictates the balance. You might run it by on this thread on the Resort board, Laura, S/D or send dreamflight99 a PM, she is an expert on Swan/Dolphin I think. Great to see you planning, GB!!!!!

You might want to check directly with Dreams too. Can't help you with personal experience as I book directly with the hotel.

Well, I'm trying to avoid the Memorial Day crowds and, if this discount stuff works out, I could go a week earlier. Ya know, I've heard about those S/D cheerleaders. They're nuts! Think they'd want to help a first-timer plan a trip? Thanks for the invite! :

I agree with my friend, Ann. Stop by and ask us. We've each stayed there enough that we learned one or two little things...and sometimes can find out what we don't know.
You see, if we call the SD and tell them to either answer our question or we're going to book another SD Cheerleader meet , they answer our questions! I swear they do!

Seriously, we love to answer questions about our favorite resort and will be glad to help you in any way possible.

crazy? us? well, not all of us...

i am the one cheerleader who has NEVER been to either the swan or the dolphin! i just stumbled onto the thread one day and never left! but these ladies are a big help in planning my first trip to the dolphin...stop by and ask your questions...i'm sure someone will have an answer for ya!!

When I went to the Dolphin two years ago, I could only get the teacher rate for part of my stay. They only offer so many discounted rooms per night. I kept calling every week or so and some more nights became available before we went. But, at that time, the discount did not automatically cover your whole stay.

You can also book directly through the Swan/Dolphin. (888) 828-8850. They gave us the discounted rate plus a free upgrade to lake view that we wouldn't have gotten if we'd gone through a travel agent.
