Question About Dole Whip @ Captain Cook's

So here on the DIS I've seen photos of the Dole Whip softserve machine at Captain Cook's at the Poly. The machine had the DDP logo on it, so I'm assuming it's available with the dining plan. Does anyone know if it's a snack credit or if you can get it as a dessert with a QS meal?

Also, does anyone know if you can get the pineapple Dole Whip swirled with vanilla softserve at the machine at Captain Cook's? Or can you only get the pineapple Dole Whip by itself?

Hi! I will try to answer your questions. We just stayed at the Polynesian for a week in mid June. You can either use a snack credit or as a dessert with your counter service meal. It has the pineapple Dole Whip coming on one side on the machine handle and vanilla on the other side, you can mix it together anyway you like. You tell the cashier as you go through the line you want a Dole whip either as the dessert or snack credit and she gives you an empty disposable bowl and then you go to the machine and fill up your bowl from the machine anyway you like.

We don't stay at Poly, but it is our version of a break at the resort!!! We go over, take a rest in the lobby, let kids hang out, and then get a snack at Cook's--their flat bread is great! DH and I often share a CS at lunch so we always have extra, and this is a nice afternoon snack on the monorail line!

There is also a handle in the middle of the machine that automatically dispenses it swirled together.
I am an ace at filling that little bowl with swirls and swirls of it til I get about a pint on it. We always share one!

Yep, for me it has to be shared too. I love them, but just can't ever get to the bottom of it and throwing remaining dole whip in the trash would be absolutely unacceptable behaviour!
