Question about DLH Fridges...

We leave in about 2 1/2 weeks... We are staying at the DLH, and I was wondering about the fridge, is it useable to store small drinks and food?
Or is it a mini bar and we really can't touch it unless we want to pay for it??

You can call the concierge and they will bring you a small fridge if you only have a mini bar. I know the fridges in the GC are the "touch it, buy it" type, so if you have inquisitive kids like me, we had to have the please don't touch it talk. Enjoy Dland

all the rooms at DLH have a small frig. It is not a mini bar. It will hold a 1/2 gallon of milk plus a few water bottles and maybe yogurt. We have groceries delivered from Albertsons while we there and we were able to put everything we needed to in it. It really comes in handy.

Yes, you can request a fridge at the GCH and they should be able to bring one up to your room. I called down to the desk after check-in my last trip, and housekeeping brought one right up. You might want to call a couple days in advance and make the request to ensure the availability.

Olallamom How do you go about getting groceries delivered from
Albertson's? Is there some info in the rooms regarding this or just something you know about yourself? Seems like it would be a good idea since we won't be renting a car.

Go to the Albertsons.com site and you can set it up. It was pretty user friendly. They had most brands of items that I wanted. We scheduled our delivery for our first full day late afternoon. It worked out great, they came to bell service and then bell service contacted me by cell phone. I met up with them at the bell service desk and the delivery guys took the order directly up to my room. I tipped the delivery guys. It went smoothly.
All I can say is that we definitely appreciated having the food in our room especially where the kids were concerned. You can request a coffee maker to be brought to your room also. I would suggest that your order a case of water bottles. The parks charge $2 for a bottle of water, you can get a case for $5.

There is no charge for a frig at the GCH. I believe there is a mini bar type thing in the room that is one of those annoying ones that you get charged for an item if you even touch it. They can lock that up for you and bring you a regular, mini frig for no charge.
