Can anyone tell me if the admission into Disney Quest in Downtown Disney includes arcade play? Or do we still have to buy a card with value on it?
Thanks in advance!

100% included. You can play all the games over and over and there is no charge. No cards have been used in many many years.

The only things that cost more are the food, if you purchase a "Sid Toy" you designed, a music CD you designed, a drawing package after the drawing class..

As of last year, you pay to get into Quest then the games inside are included. You just select # of players and game starts.

The games have been included for several years now. They used to have redemption games that gave tickets and those you had to pay for, but they took them out (or just made them not give tickets) when that recent law went into effect regarding gaming.

I had a free voucher that my schedule prevented me from enjoying. Please enjoy while you can :)

Once you've paid the admission price all of the games are free to play. We checked it out on our last day and played a couple of games. We didn't stay long because it made both of us feel claustrophobic! No windows anywhere, it's very dark, and lots of staircases and elevators. Hardly any employees inside also.

We'll have to try it out before it closes. But

I think this was the excuse for removing the arcade from Space Mtn, why couldn't they have just kept the regular arcade games? Are there still arcade games in Pizza Planet Arcade?

Does anyone remember when the one in Chicago first opened? We went in the fall of 1999 and back then everything was included, even the ticket games. With 3 hyperactive young boys who loved games, on our first visit we accumulated over 8000 tickets (for free!) and traded them in for a small air-hockey table, basketballs, and other cool things. By the next time we went (about a week later), they had done away with the free tickets (I am firmly convinced it was due to us!). :o

Does anyone know the closure date yet? We will be there in May 2016.

I don't believe anything has been announced yet beyond "2016".

Nothing has been announced. DD used to work there. I was heading down a few weeks ago and had her check with her manager if they had a date, wanted to know if I better go now or January trip. Manager said they have been given no date at all.

There are a few claw machine type games you can win prizes at still there that you have to pay for. Only like 3 of them. But other than those, all the games and VR stuff are free with admission.

I was there a week ago and in my opinion, it seems the place is getting much worse as they get ready to close shop. The VR space ships they had are closed and sort of walled off. They obviously are not going to replace with anything. A few other games were missing and empty spots were noticeable, and a larger number of games were broken down than I normally see. On the plus side of that, it was pretty dead in the place for a Friday night. Pretty much anything was open except the "Typhoon" coaster simulator thing.

I would love to know when it will close for good. I still like going, even in its dilapidated state. Though I would be sad if I paid full price for what it currently is, though if you want to say goodbye, I can see doing it.

I called today and I was told it was closing but they did not have a date. We are planing to spend a few non park hours there on our upcoming trip.

We have 2 free vouchers and are visiting the first week of December. It's my 14 year old son who is excited to play everything. I'm hoping to not spend too much time in there.

If you don't enjoy playing there are lots of quiet seating areas you can sit in, take your phone or tablet with you.

One by the old Comix attraction is very quiet, darker, sofas etc. By the two food areas are sofa/chairs in more private settings. All on levels four and five.

But I suggest to play the Pirates game with him, so much fun and better with others. (HINT: Do not touch the steering wheel and the ship will be on autopilot).

Does autopilot mean that it does a good job? Leaving everyone free to shoot as much as possible? I will have to remember this if it is still open in April.

Yes. It does a pretty good job and everyone can shoot. Just don't touch it and it will go on it's own with the Ghost Pilot.
