Question about disney dining plan at Le Cellier

I understand that Le Cellier requires 2 table service credits on the disney dining plan. In the past we have been able to choose the entree of our choice. I'm confused now because I'm seeing a prix fixe menu listed as well and I want to make sure we are not locked into choosing only from that menu (which only has 3 entrees, none of which I want). We like to get the filet mignon for the entree and I'm not going to waste 2 credits if I have to settle for something else.

You can order a la carte or not

You don't have to order the Prix Fixe menu if you don't want too. My understanding if that the Prix Fixe menu is a lunch time option but is not available for dinner.

We ate at Le Cellier in February with some of our party on the dining plan- there was no prix fixe menu that I remember- I know they both ordered from the same menu the rest of us ordered from. I always see mixed reviews about Le Cellier but we had an excellent meal there in February- service and food were amazing.
